Movie summary Athens, 2030 The new world order: society has been destructed in a horizontal way, racism and other kinds of discrimination other than the social division between rich and poor do not exist anymore, only an impassable red line dividing the two extremes. Economical and social deprivation is more prevalent than ever, it is now legal to sell your life for 20.000 euros. However, there is a strict requirement, even in this case: you have to pass specific tests and combat the other contesters. The main character decides to try and help his daughter, who needs money for a medical surgery. The economic situation of his family is ruinous, so he goes on and files his papers for the death application. Now, all he has to do is stay focused for one day, beat the other contesters, get the money and finally find his way to redemption through the salvation of his daughter's life. In a society where the cogwheels of a machine are treated with more respect than human beings, in a reality where actual persons are reduced to mere numbers, clinging to the cliff of existence, as the main character fades away, so do some of the last traces of humanity left in this world.
